Edward Monovich

These images investigate the impacts of geopolitical conflict on the landscape. There are frequently cluster bombs, landmines and unmanned aerial vehicles in the otherwise pastoral scenes. Also, poison ivy creeps through the landscape.  Poison ivy has proliferated as a result of changes to the environment.  A subtle symbol of the poisoning of our world, made manifest in a wicked, contact dermatitis.

Boston based, Edward Monovich has had numerous solo and group shows in New York, Boston and and internationally.
